funiest true stories yearbook

My son and I were checking out a house he was interested in buying. When the owner came to the door, she looked at me and said, “Larry? I know you. We went to school together. I’m Elaine. Don’t you recognize me?” I drew a complete blank. She took out our old yearbook and showed me her graduation picture—still nothing. “Let’s look at your picture,” she said. She flipped the pages until she came to me. Under my photo I had written, “Elaine, I will never forget you.”

The Past Continuous Tense: The Grammar Gameshow Episode 9

Anecdotes from classmates

Last year, in mid-October, it was the marriage of my uncles Mario and Lisset, they had a big party in a country club, where the whole family of both parties was invited. When it was time for dinner, the organizer had designated seats for each guest, at the youth table we were all nephews of different ages. One of my cousins started dressing his salad and after about 10 minutes he asked, "Does anyone else have a bad salad?" because mine is horrible, it is sweet even though the dressing is still bad. Everyone started to laugh because he took the sugar jar by mistake and with that he was dressing the salad. The newlyweds did not stop laughing. It was a good marriage.
